As years have drifted by, people seem to be remembering the 70's as a rather glamorous decade. It's true that artists
like Bowie, Roxy Music, Marc Bolan, the Sweet all had memorable images ... and songs, but in reality the UK in the 70's was
a rather grim place beset with a seemingly endless run of industrial disputes.
Even Chrissie, at the fan club, was eventually affected by the London Postal stirke which brought the delivery of mail
to a halt.
That was the reason this was a 1 page newsletter. In the days before email attachments and texts we were all reliant
on the postman.
